HIVE is a collective buying group for independent Australian trade businesses on the Central Coast NSW. We combine the spend of our members to unlock the kind of supplier pricing usually reserved for large builders and national chains. You join for free, buy from HIVE suppliers at member pricing, and keep more margin on every job.
Yes. $0 to join, $0 monthly fee, $0 to leave. Suppliers fund HIVE through a modest 2% fee on member spend. That fee comes from the supplier side — it does not come out of your pocket or your pricing.
No subscription, no hidden charges, no lock-in.
HIVE is currently open to independent trade businesses operating on the Central Coast NSW. That includes builders, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, concreters, landscapers, and other licensed trade operators.
Membership is selective — you will go through a short application process and a free financial health check with our partner Linda from Beyond Bookkeeping. This is to ensure every member in the network is a reliable, financially sound operator, which is what gives HIVE its negotiating power.
Our current supplier partners on the Central Coast include:
- Kincumber Mitre 10 — hardware, building materials, trade supplies
- Central Coast Hire — equipment and plant hire
- Skips & Scrap — skip bins and scrap metal

HIVE charges a 2% fee to suppliers on verified member spend. If you buy $10,000 of materials from a HIVE supplier in a month, the supplier pays HIVE $200. You pay the trade price negotiated for HIVE members — nothing extra. The fee structure is disclosed to all parties and capped per supplier to protect the relationship.
Every HIVE member gets a free financial health check delivered by Linda from Beyond Bookkeeping. Linda reviews your books, cash flow position, Buildxact setup (if you use it), and overall financial systems.
This is not a sales pitch. It is a genuine assessment of where your business stands financially. The output is a clear picture of your health — and a path to fixing anything that needs fixing.
This check is compulsory for HIVE membership because a network of financially healthy operators is what gives us leverage with suppliers.
Once your membership is confirmed, you will receive a HIVE member confirmation and supplier contact details. You buy direct from HIVE suppliers as normal — they recognise you as a HIVE member and apply the negotiated pricing. No card to carry, no code to enter. We handle the back end.
Yes. There is no lock-in. If HIVE is not delivering value for you, you can leave. We would rather you stay because the network is working, not because you are stuck.
Yes. HIVE collects only the information needed to verify membership, calculate supplier fees, and deliver the financial wellness service. We operate under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.
Your data is never sold to third parties. Suppliers receive only what is necessary to service your account. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
The HIVE Membership Agreement sets out the terms of your membership — how the network works, what you agree to as a member (primarily, buying through HIVE suppliers where practical), how fees are calculated, and how disputes are handled. You will receive a copy to review before signing. It is a straightforward document written in plain language.
