Built by tradies.
Built for the trade.
HIVE Trade Network exists because small trade businesses deserve the same buying power as the big guys. We built the infrastructure to make that happen.
Good operators were getting squeezed.
The big project home builders have volume. That volume buys them supplier relationships and pricing that smaller operators simply can't access on their own. Suppliers aren't doing anything wrong — they're giving independent tradies the best price they can justify for the spend they represent. A standard trade discount off retail. Fair enough on its face, but still a long way short of what a volume buyer walks out paying.
That gap doesn't just hurt margins — it distorts the whole market. When your buy price is higher, your quote has to be higher to protect what little margin is left. So you face a choice: hold your price and lose the job to someone cheaper, or drop your price and win work you can barely make money on. It's a race to the bottom, and the only people winning it are the ones who were never in it to begin with.
HIVE was built to break that cycle. By pooling the collective spend of qualified member businesses, we go to suppliers with real volume behind us — and negotiate pricing that reflects it. Members get access to the same deals the big operators take for granted, without giving up their independence to get there.
No cost to join. No catch. Suppliers fund HIVE through a modest 2% fee on member spend — you get better deals, they get consistent, quality trade customers.
Built for the trade. Run by people who know it.
Most tradies are running two businesses.
Nobody signed up for the second one.
The pricing problem gets all the attention. But quietly bleeding just as much is everything that happens after the job — the bookkeeping, the BAS, the payroll, the invoicing, the chasing, the reconciling. Somebody's doing it. More often than not, it's the tradie's partner. The backbone of the back-office. Fitting it around their own day, waiting on answers from site, working with software they were never trained on, and trying to hold the whole thing together — on top of everything else they're already carrying.
Through our partnership with Beyond Bookkeeping, every member gets a free Financial Health Assessment and Systems Health Score — a full audit of your numbers, your software, and your processes. Then we get everything set up properly: accounting software connected, Buildxact integrated, payroll automated. So whoever's been carrying that load can finally put it down and get back to the work that actually pays.
Your craft built the business. HIVE helps you run it smarter.
Built on four principles.
Everything we do at HIVE comes back to these.
Same pricing as operators who've always had the advantage. Collective volume levels the field.
No hidden fees, no fine print. You know exactly how HIVE works and what it costs.
Central Coast tradies backing each other. More members means better pricing for all.
Every member is vetted and financially healthy. That's what gives the network its leverage.
Trade quality work. Trade quality systems. Same standard, different team.
